What is an Operating Systems?It´s a collection of software  that manages computer hardwareresources and provides common services for computer programs.

Types of O.S:

Windows 7 and 8

iOS

Android

OS X

LINUX

UNIX

Windows 7:  It has a graphical user interfase, that allows you to interact with items on the screen using a keyboard and mouse. It also includes a feature called ´´Windows Touch´´ that supports input and multitouch functionality.


Windows 8: It provides an entirely new user interfaced compared to its predecessor.The goal of windows 8 is to function on both traditional deskop PCs. it also supports both touchscreen input as well as traditional input devices, such as a keyboard and mouse.


IOS: It is a mobile operating system developed and distributed by Apple Inc.It is based on the concept of direct manipulation, using touch gestures.


Android: It is a Linux-based operating system designed for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Different android based phones may have different graphical.


OS X: It is a series of Unix-based, marketed, and sold by Apple Inc. It is designed to run exclusively on Mac computers. OS X Server is no longer offered as a separate operating system product; instead, the server management tools are available for purchase separately, and are preloaded on the server models of Mac Pro and Mac Mini along with OS X.


LINUX: It is an operating system assambled under the model  of free and open source softwaredevelopment and distribution.It is a leading operating system  on servers and other big iron systems such as mainframe computers and supercomputers.


UNIX: It is a multitasking, multi-user computer operating system such as MINIX. The traditional Unix may be used to descibe an operating system that has the characteristics of either Version 7 Unix, or UNIX system V.
